iPhone Look-Alike ZTE Blade D6 Launched Along With ZTE SmartHome

One of the reasons that Samsung is on top of Android-smartphone market is that they realize that the shelf life of a new handset is very less today and hence they keep on introducing new smartphones every few weeks or so. It seems that ZTE has decided to follow the suit of Samsung and is going on a launching spree this month. ZTE recently launched the ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini Arrives In India As An Amazon Exclusive For Rs. 16,999 in June, ZTE Blade Qlux 4G Launch Exclusively On Amazon.in From June 16 in the same month, ZTE Introduces Nubia My Prague; Its Slimmest Phone Till Date last week and very recently the much awaited Axon smartphone and apparently now they have come out with yet another phone: ZTE Blade D6.

The Blade D6 is an Android Lollipop based smartphone that has looks that are very similar to iPhone 6 Plus. The phone has a screen size of 5 inches with HD and IPS display. The dual-sim phone will run on 64-bit 1.3 GHz quad-core Mediatek processor which is supported by a RAM of 2 GB while the graphics are handled by the ARM Mali-T720 GPU. The phone will have an internal memory of 16 GB which as per the assurances by ZTE is expandable, but the extent of expansion is yet unknown.

The phone has a pretty decent 13 MP rear camera with dual-LED and dual-tone flash and the front camera is of 5 MP with 88-degree wide-angle lens but no flash. Under connectivity options, the phone offers 4G support and other standard options of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Sadly though, the phone doesn’t offer the option of NFC. The phone is backed by 2200 mAh battery and is expected to offer a long battery life.

Along with the phone, ZTE also introduced the ZTE SmartHome platform. SmartHome is basically a gateway for smart gadgets. It is a single device that allows you to connect and manipulate any smart devices like smart bulbs, baby monitors etc. The platform actually works on a wireless protocol called ZigBee and also supports 4G LTE connections. Both the phone and the SmartHome platform were released in MWC Shanghai. The price of the devices are yet unknown but ZTE has assured that the smartphone will become available in Japan, Russia and Australia in a few weeks followed by other regions.
