Intex Cloud String HD: Fingerprint Sensor, 4G LTE & Android Lollipop For Rs. 5,599

Just a few days after launching its first smartphone with fingerprint sensor, Intex Technologies is ready with another fingerprint sensor encased smartphone. The Intex Cloud String HD was launched today and will be sold exclusively on Flipkart. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 5,599 which is cheaper than the recently launched Intex Aqua Secure: Fingerprint Sensor, 64bit Quad Core Processor & VoLTE for Rs. 6,499. The Intex Cloud String HD shares a thing or two in common with its elder sibling such as the presence of a fingerprint sensor on the rear and 4G LTE connectivity with Voice over LTE functionality. The Intex Cloud String HD is also one of the cheapest smartphones in the market to feature 2.5D curved glass display.

The Intex Cloud String HD sports a 5inch ONCELL HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution display that supports five finger multi-touch. To keep costs in check Intex has avoided using a protective glass over the display on the Intex Cloud String HD. Intex has opted to go for a Spreadtrum SC9832 chipset instead of the usual MediaTek chipset for unfathomable reasons. The SoC houses a 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex A7 CPU, Mali 400 GPU operating at 512MHz and 1GB of RAM. This configuration is capable enough to run Android 5.1 (Lollipop).

The internal memory on the Intex Cloud String HD stands at 8GB out of which 4.2GB remains vacant for the user. You can use a microSD card of up to 32GB to expand the storage. When it comes to cameras on the Intex Cloud String HD, the company has sought help from Samsung. The rear camera is built by Samsung has a resolution of 8MP. A single LED flash accompanies the rear camera. The front camera is however built by an unheard company called Diostech and has a resolution of 5MP. Both the cameras are able to shoot full HD videos.

The Intex Cloud String HD is powered by a 2200mAh Lithium ion battery that is claimed by the company to offer 7 hours of talk time on 2G and 190 hours of standby. The connectivity options on the smartphone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB. The sensor list on the Intex Cloud String HD includes G-Sensor, light and proximity sensor. Just like always the company preloads the smartphone with apps like Clean Master, Freecharge, Folio, God of Combat, Goibibo, Hike messenger, iStore, Intex Service, Magic Store, Newshunt, OLX, Opera Max, Opera Mini and Saavn. The smartphone will be sold in Black and White colour variants.
