Intex Aqua S2 Surfaces Online With Fingerprint Sensor & Android Marshmallow For Rs. 4990

The holidays are over and Intex Technologies is back in business with a new smartphone. The Intex Aqua S2 is one of the cheapest smartphones in the market to feature a fingerprint sensor. Normally a decent smartphone with a fingerprint sensor costs around Rs. 9000 for example the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Launched In China With 4100 mAh Battery And Fingerprint Scanner. This one does the same job at a fraction of the cost. The fingerprint sensor as expected is located just below the rear camera. The Intex Aqua S2 also helps the owner to create GIF images from photos shot with the camera. Like most new entry level smartphones from the company the Intex Aqua S2 runs Android Marshmallow.

The Intex Aqua S2 sports a 5inch display which has a WVGA (480 x 854 pixels) resolution and pixel density of 196ppi. This is sadly disappointing as most 5inch smartphones in this price bracket feature an HD resolution display. Underneath the hood we have a Spreadtrum SC7731 chipset that houses a 1.3GHz quad-core A7 CPU, Mali 400 MP2 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The internal memory of the Intex Aqua S2 stands at 8GB and you get the option of expanding the storage to up to 32GB with the help of microSD cards.

When it comes to the cameras on the Intex Aqua S2 we have a 5MP LED flash equipped sensor on the rear and a 5MP sensor on the front. The connectivity options found on the Intex Aqua S2 are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB. The sole sensor on the Intex Aqua S2 is the G-Sensor. The Intex Aqua S2 is powered by 2450mAh battery. This is claimed to provide standby time of 110 hours and talk time of 5 hours. The Intex Aqua S2 is preloaded with apps like Daily Hunt, NewsPoint, Saavn, Opera Mini, LFTY, Matrabhasha and Online Software Update(FOTA). The Intex Aqua S2 will retail for Rs. 4990 in Champagne, White and Grey colour variants.
