InFocus M260 - A Smartphone Made For Backbenchers, Priced At Rs. 3999

The first thing that will attract your attention to the newly launched InFocus M260 Android smartphone priced at Rs. 3999, is its innovative catch line. Promoted as a mobile device designed for college students, the M260 proudly bears the tagline 'Made For Backbenchers', which is again backed up with the phrase - A phone that makes lectures yawn free. If that doesn't pull in college students towards it, we are not sure what will. The company has been pretty clear that the phone isn't about the average specifications that tag along most mid-budget smartphone. It's the phone's attractive colours and even more the pocket-friendly pricing that should lure young customers in. The smartphone has began selling exclusively via e-commerce portal Snapdeal starting today.

Featuring a wide 4.5 inch display with FWVGA resolution aka 480 x 854 pixels. Weighing about 155g, the phone is pretty thick at 10.48 mm, reminding you of the older bar phones that were the rage only a few years back.

Running on a powerful 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor, the InFocus M260 is said to feature 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory. There's a 2000 mAh battery that provides the phone with enough juice to last at least half a day on single charge. There are 2 micro SIM Card slots (with 2G + 3G connectivity).

Powered by Android's slightly older version 5.0.2 OS layered by InFocus's own Life 2.0 user interface, the M260 smartphone features a 5 megapixel FF camera on the rear end with support for Digital Zoom support and F2.4 aperture. A 2 megapixel front camera is great for taking selfies. The ambient light sensor, a proximity sensor, an E-compass and geotagging features are all present.

Coming to the exteriors - there are three color options aka Vibrant Orange, Pristine White and Fluorescent Green. They make the phone look very trendy and new age.

The company has shared that InFocus M260 is the first one to come under Govt. of India's latest "Make in India" initiative and will be assembled locally at the company's Sri City facility in Andhra Pradesh.

With that we come to the end of the most important features of InFocus M260 smartphone. What are your thoughts about the new Android phone in town? Share with us in comments below.
