Huawei Ascend P1 S Is The World's Slimmest Highly Loaded Smartphone

The CES 2012 begins with a bang with the unveiling of world's slimmest smartphone by Huawei. The Huawei Ascend P1 S is quite a bit of shock with the thickness and the features it packs inside itself. The Ascend P1 S beats the 7.1mm Motorola Droid Razr with its 6.68mm thickness. The phone is a tough competition for tier one device manufacturer with its hardware specification.

The phone features a TI's dual-core OMAP 4460 Cortex-A9 processor clocked at 1.5GHz along with a graphics processor SGX 540. The touch screen phone includes a Corning Gorilla Glass 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The phone comes with the latest Android 4.0, which is quite impressive. The phone also packs in 1GB of RAM and 4GB of onboard memory along with Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Huawei also unveiled another model of the Ascend series - the Ascend P1, with the same functionality as the Ascend P1 S but with a greater thickness of 7.69mm. The Ascend P1 and Ascend P1 S features a 1670 mAh and 1800 mAh battery respectively, which gives the phones the power for super fast multi-tasking, video playback and gaming capabilities.

The Ascend P1 S has a 8MP Backside-Illuminated (BSI) rear camera allowing for 1080p video recording and a 1.3MP front camera which supports recording of 720p HD videos. The phones are expected to arrive in the second quarter of 2012 in three colours; Metallic Black, Ceramic White and Cherry-Blossom Pink. There was no word on the pricing of the announced models.
