    Hai,


    The load is distributed from slab to the beams that is connected to the slab. The nature of load distribution is governed by two main parameters; the ratio of long span (Ly) to shorter span (Lx) AND the fixity of the slab.

    If the slab is a simply supported at all edge, and the ratio of Ly/Lx is less than 2, the load is distributed from the slab to the beam by two directions; whereas if the Ly/Lx is greater and equal to 2, the load is distributed in the shorter direction to the beam.
