HOW TO INSTALL A SOFTWARE IN WINDOW THROUGH EDITING REGISTRY

I download TV driver for my pc, and when i try to install the driver, i fail because the driver i download a not run setup for staring install.. i read somewhere their say , I it possible to install software through editing the registry..! It dic possible??? help plz?
