HealthSpot Station : Replacing Doctor's Office With Telepresence Kiosk

There will always be less doctors than patients! But now, HealthSpot has come up with a solution to overcome this problem using telepresence. Healthsopt Station, that is supposed to replace traditional doctor's office, will be a telepresence kiosk where patients can take advice of physicians through high definition video conferencing.
Healthspot Station, termed as telehealth system, aims to take pressure off the overloaded health system by providing a private area where patient can interact with physicians. The purpose of HealthSpot is to be an alternative to emergency rooms in hospitals. It will also help doctors to use their time more efficiently. There would be a attendant outside the kiosk to help the patients and inside it would be full of digital instruments including blood pressure cuff, patient touchscreen, video conference screen etc. to aid diagnosis.

Though it is not suitable for patients with serious conditions, Healthspot Station can help to reduce the load of patients at hospitals. HealthSpot is planning to use the kiosk at several places including rural communities, military bases, schools and nursing homes.
