Google's New Patent For A Device That Masks Odour And Spreads Fragrance

Yep, you read it right. Google has acquired a new patent for a device that can emit fragrance based on the body odour produced by movements by any person wearing it. Though that might be the kind of technology, that has the potential to take anyone by surprise as the company attached with it is the global search giant Google. The fragrance emitting device from Google could be the company's latest wearable that can be worn inside the dress to keep body odour under check. These days, there's no dearth of fitness tracking apps and such a device could very well be coupled with one of it.

The working of the device is quite what the name suggests accompanied by some smart features. The device can smartly detect if the wearer's body is going some kind of physical exertion, which in turn leads to increase in body temperature and subsequent rise in sweat levels. This activity detecting module sends the necessary information to the predictor module which stores that date for future use.


The device will not only issue a fragrance, but also act as an odor neutralizer. An optional alert module inside device may alert the user of an odor situation and let the user know. In this case, if the user chooses to reject the emission of fragrance, a suppressor module will cancel the scheduled process.

Other than deodourizing the wearer using an internal fan, the device can be paired with the user's social media accounts like Facebook or Twitter, so that you steer clear of any friends in the area near you. Using the Google Maps app, the device can also guide the user for alternate routes in the city to avoid unfriendly people.
