Google Glass Will Be Used As An Assistant on ISS

In smart wearables Google Glass is the most fascinating wearable, but it might not be as successful as smart watches. A study which is going to be conducted this week on International Space Station (ISS) demands Google Glass to be a part of it. A team from Tufts centre for regenerative and developmental biology will be going to ISS to be launched from the Kennedy Space Centre on December 16 in a SpaceX rocket.

Google glass will be sent through a package with the study team. It is going to be used as an augmented reality tool, during the pre-flight and post-flight operations. The Glass plays no role in the main mission. The only purpose of the Glass is to transmit images and establish connection with the labs on earth. This study is done in partnership with a non profit organisation - Kentucky Space Organisation. In future, scientists are hoping to use Glass as human interface with Kentucky space experiments on ISS.

The current Explorer edition of Glass has failed to impress people because of its low battery life and high cost. Now, a new version of Glass is being made which is powered by an Intel chip inside and Glass is also getting a new visual overhaul too. Share your views through the comment section below.
