Description: Equilibrio is the National Level Technical and Entrepreneurial Festival held in ITGGV every year. Equilibrio was started in 2013 by the students of ITGGV aiming to develop the interest of students in Science and Technology and encourage them to come up with their innovative ideas and expose their talents. It’s a 3 day festival in which several talks, workshops and competitions are organized, giving students a unique platform to show there emerging ideas and put into an innovative work.
AN ALL IN ONE EVENT- TECHNICAL, CULTURAL, TALKS, WORKSHOPS. IT CANT GET BIGGER THAN THIS!

1. TECHNICAL EVENTS:
· INERTIA:
Ø FIZZ-Craft (PET bottle Rocket):
An event which puts us in the shoes of a rocket scientist, Fizz-Craft involves the construction of a simple air pressure propelled rocket made out of a simple PET bottle which we all use in our daily life.
Ø Golak Yaan (balloon car):
An event which takes you back to your schooldays, balloon car involves an exciting race of cars which are powered only by the air released by a balloon.
Ø GREASE MONKEY-The workshop Wars
Grease Monkey is the perfect event to bring out the true innovator in you. Participants are expected to showcase their knowledge of machine tools and create worthwhile objects out of junk provided to them in the workshop.
Ø CHUTE-THE-CHUTE (roller coaster)
A roller coaster ride is all about excitement and thrills. This event allows you to create that excitement by designing a roller coaster with the most complex path using paper made available at the time of the competition.
Ø Dare To Know:
This event will be combination of bots tutorials and competition of REVERSE ENGINEERING. It is an initiative to innovate new ideas.
· MECHATRON:
Welcome to the world of mechatronics, where Robots perform tasks on the instruction of their designer. Be it the seas, the playground, or the hidden unknowns, Robots will be performing all tasks which one could expect only a human to do.
Ø VAYU TARINI (RC air boat)
This event consists of making a radio controlled air boat that utilizes the thrust of air to propel itself in the water. All you going to do is merge your technical cognition with that of sailor’s skills and fabricate a remote controlled boat capable of sailing through the seas.
Ø FATAL KICK-OFF (RoboSoccer + RoboWar)
An exciting amalgam of robo-soccer and robo-war, Fatal Kick-Off involves building two robots to play the popular game of soccer, with one bot acting as a striker and the other as a defender.
Ø LAND ROVER
A journey of your robot into the unknown lands, Takeshi’s castle is all about building a manually controlled robot which can traverse through harsh courses as well, be it sand, water, or glass.
· AUTONOMOUS ASSAULT
This category belongs to automatic and intelligent robots. These bots are capable of performing several tasks without any manual help. A glance of the future, at Equilibrio 2014.

An event especially for young minds of 1st and 2nd year, Snakobot involves making a robot which can traverse a snake-like path automatically.
Ø MINECRAFT BOT
An event with an exciting problem statement, it invites the student to build an autonomous robot which can traverse a grid of white line and black background and performs the tasks specified.
Ø EXTRICATE CYBORG
Here, you get a chance to showcase your skills in autonomous robotics under an exciting theme. Build an autonomous bot which is capable of traversing the contour using line following technique and must be able to rescue a hostage (in the form of block) from his rival.

A category dedicated to construction talent, Sanrachna is all about designing structures which can withstand the test of time.
Ø SETU SRIJAN (Bridge Construction)
Truly, in everything that man builds and raises, nothing is more beautiful or more precious than bridges. Here you need to construct a bridge made up of Popsicle sticks, which has the highest efficiency.

This event uses the power of nature’s gift, water. It involves the construction of a crane which can lift weights up to a safe height and place it safely across a boundary, using only hydraulic power.

The category is all about one’s designing skills on various scientific software. Software has become a very essential tool in modelling various daily tasks, and these events are an attempt to make all familiar with these software.

It is a simple Mechanical based design of a machine element. It will involve 2D and 3D modelling using AUTOCAD, CATIA and PRO-E followed by analysis and optimization.
