Difference between IGP and EGP

There are two types of dynamic routing protocol:
1) Interior Gateway Protocol (IGP)
2) Exterior Gateway Protocol (EGP)

Interior Gateway Protocol (IGP) are used within an autonomous system.
There are 3 types of IGP's -
a) Distance Vector (example - RIP)
b) Link State (example - OSPF, IS-IS)
c) Hybrid Balanced (example - EIGRP)

Exterior Gateway Protocol (EGP) are used between an autonomous system.
example: Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)

Autonomous System - one or more networks that are managed by single administrative control.

What is difference between IGP and EGP ?
