Cyanogen OS 12 Rolls Out To OnePlus One Today, Available For Indian Customers Too

Cyanogen’s take on Android Lollipop, Cyanogen OS 12 will be rolling out to OnePlus One smartphones today. Even though, Cyanogen and OnePlus are currently in Micromax & Cyanogen Deal In India Proves To Be A Bitter Pill For OnePlus Customers they are not letting their squabbles affect their customers in India. The company producing modded Android operating system has made it clear that customers across the world, including India will receive the updated operating system. YU Yureka owners in the country will be glad to know that they too shall be receiving Cyanogen OS 12 very soon. Just like the OnePlus Releases Oxygen OS Based On Android Lollipop, Now Available For Download from OnePlus, Cyanogen has kept most of Google’s Material Design intact and peppered it with its own little additions.

As always Cyanogen includes options to customise the look-and-feel of the operating system but this time it has gone one step further with the App Themer. The App Themer lets you stylise apps individually, this means you no longer have change your phone’s theme because a certain app does not look good with it. The user is also given the option of choosing from a wide range of free and paid themes. The big shift in the Cyanogen OS 12 is an app that serves as the alternative to the native Gmail app. With help from Boxer, Cyanogen has created Cyanogen email. The premium version of the app comes free of charge to all Cyanogen OS users. The Cyanogen email app lets the user choose his/her left and right swipe actions, notification sounds and distinct colours for LED notifications. Apart from exchange support, the app allows multiple account integration, and canned responses for quick replies.
