    5)the front wheels of a wagon are 2(pi) feet in circumference and the rear wheels are 3(pi) feet in circumference. When the front wheels have made 10 more revolutions than the rear wheels how many feet has the wagon travelled?
    (a)30(pi) (b)60(pi) (c)90(pi) (d)150(pi)

    (pi)-3.14
    Let x be the distance moved...
    so the first wheel moves x/2(pi) revolutions.
    2nd one moves x/3(pi) revolutions.

    if the diff. in revolutions is 10
    then 10=x/2(pi)-x/3(pi) =x/6(pi) => x=60(pi).

    so the answer is (b) 60(pi)

    15) A monkey starts climbing up a tree 20ft. tall. Each hour, it hops 3ft. and slips back 2ft. How much time would it take the monkey to reach the top?
    So the relative movement per hour will be 1 ft.
    in 17 hours it climbs 17 ft.
    in the 18th hour it climbs 3 ft. and reaches 20 ft.

    so the answer is 18 hours.

    the angle covered in every minute is 6 (since 360/60)

    so when the time is 3:25,

    the angle made by minutes hand with respect to the 12th hour is 5x5x6=150.

    then the angle made by the hour hand :
    for every 1 hr the angle made is 30.
    so for 3 hour 90
    and for 25 mins past the hour hand makes an angle of 12.5
    (every hour has 5 division so 30/5=6
    so for every 12 mins it moves through one division
    so for 25 mins it travels a little more the 2 division
    so lets take the answer as 12.5)

    therefore total angle made by hour hand is 102.5

    angle between the two hands is 150-102.5=47.5

    1^2 + 2^2 + 3^2 + 4^2 + 5^2 + 6^2 + 7^2 + 8^2 = 204.

    Formula N = (n(n+1)(2n+1))/6

    Number of rectangles in a chessboard:

    There are 9 vertical lines and 9 horizontal lines. To form a rectangle
    you must choose 2 of the 9 vertical lines, and 2 of the 9 horizontal
    lines. Each of these can be done in 9C2 ways = 36 ways. So the number
    of rectangles is given by 36^2 = 1296.

    A gains 20 from B so: A: x+20 and B: x-20
    A loses 2/3 of his sweets that means B gains 2/3 sweets of A's:
    hence A=(x+20)-2/3(x+20) and B=(x-20)+2/3(x+20)
    finally B has 4times of A's sweets

    A had items:2 chessboard cost of each is Rs.500 & 1 record player of cost Rs. 2000
    so A had in beginning items of total cost of Rs.=3000
    after transaction he had only only 1 cycle of cost Rs.=1000 & 1 chessboard of his own
    loss in transaction =1500
    B had items:3 cricket bat each of rs.700
    so B had in beginning items of total cost of rs.=2100
    after transaction he had only 1 record player of cost Rs.=2000 & 1 bat of his own
    profit in transaction =600
    C had items:1 cycle cost of rs.1000 & 1walkman of cost rs.700
    so C had in beginning items of total cost of rs.=1700
    after transaction he had only 1 bat of cost Rs.=700 & 1 chessboard of cost=500 and 1 camera=1500
    profit in transaction =2700
    D had items:2 camera cost of one is Rs 1500 & other one of cost Rs. 3500
    so A had in beginning items of total cost of Rs.=5000
    after transaction he had only only 1batof cost Rs.=700 & 1 camera of his own of cast Rs.=3500 & a walkman of Rs. 700
    loss in transaction =100
    1. A[ A did not have the bat at the end]

    2. 1700 [coat of materials c had in the beginning]

    3. A [A had the maximum loss of Rs. 1500 after the transaction]

    4. B & C made the profit after transaction

    5. A [A had a chessboard and a cycle]

    (1,2) (5,10) (15,30) (37,74) ...............

    (a) (80,160) (b) (82,164) (c) (83,166) (d) (84,168)
    solution to this:
    5-1=>4x2+2=10
    15-5=>10x2+10=30
    37-15=>22x2+30=74
    83-37=>46x2+74=166
    therefore the answer will be

    3, 3, 5, 4, 4, 3, 5, 5, 4, ?

    solution is : the series is like that
    first come two 3
    then one 5
    then two 4
    one 3
    two 5
    one 4
    so next will two 3

Both D,C got a cricket bat from B. A gave his record player costing Rs.2000 to B.C got a camera costing Rs.1500 from D.The cycle costs Rs. 1000 and the Walkman costs Rs.700.B had 3 cricket bats initially.D had 2 cameras total cost of which is Rs.5000. A gave one of his chess boards to C and took C's cycle.C gave his walkman to D. (2006 MBA)

    solution : let the total length of the pole is x feet

    the correct answer is 48 I think..

    Q48
    let the page no. be
    x,x+1
    y,y+1
    z,z+1
    t,t+1
    (hint: removing a page removes its backside too)
    adding all
    2(x+y+z+t) +4 = 87
    2(x+y+z+t) = 83 -> a contradiction
    therefore answer is zero probability.

    is possible for you to find the missing digit:?:
    i found the answer 😁

    the answer is 6

    reason:
    let us consider a number abc.
    it can be written as 100a+10b+c.
    the sum of it's digits is a+b+c.
    when we subtract the sum from the number we get : (100a+10b+c)-(a+b+c) => 99a+9b ..... i.e. a multiple of 9.
    this can be applied to any number of digits...
    so the sum of digits obtained after subtracting the sum from number should be a multiple of 9.
    therefore 3+4+0+1+4+9+x should be a multiple of nine.......=> x=6

    am i right:?:
