Companies could contact you on WhatsApp if Facebook puts this plan into action

For years, big internet players have put their platforms for helping businesses grow by letting them reach their target audience via various modes and made millions in the process. Facebook Inc. has been leading this bandwagon in the recent times. Through Facebook pages, paid ads and sponsored posts, companies have been able to draw maximum out of the social media platform. After Facebook's acquisition of WhatsApp, all have been waiting to know where exactly would they steer the instant messaging app from hereon. Well now, a report from Bloomberg suggests that Facebook might be seriously considering the idea of letting businesses contact their customers or end users via WhatsApp. That's a strong hint as to what Facebook has in mind for monetizing the free app.

The plan could be that marketing folks at companies could pay Facebook for being able to send messages to the potential customers. This B2C messaging service might not arrive anytime soon, but it could be on the cards in the long term. WhatsApp founders were apprehensive about displaying advertisements to their users right from the beginning. That's the reason why WhatsApp is widely loved and admired platform that users worldwide trust and like to use. It's clean and clutter-free.
