Chevrolet Captiva 2.2 SUV: Price, Tech Specs And Features At Glance

General Motors India has unveiled the refreshed edition of its sports utility vehicle (SUV) called ‘Chevrolet Captiva 2.2’ with several additional features for the convenience of its customers, today. The ex-showroom Delhi price of MT and AT versions of Captiva 2.2 is Rs 25,13,528 and Rs 27,36,192, respectively. Model Year (MY) 15 Captiva is introduced with new cluster ionizer that produces ions for cleaning and deodorizing cabin interiors and Instrument Cluster for improving visibility among other attributes. Other new features consists of cruise control, electric parking brake and rain-sensing wipers. The General Motors engineers have also provided a bunch of storage solutions that include sizeable wet/dry area beneath the load compartment floor, deep centre console bin, glove box, rear-centre console storage area and handy door bins.

Coming to the engine, the new MY 15 Captiva comes with a 2.2-liter engine that delivers torque of 400 Nm @ 2000 rpm and power of 186.5 bhp @ 3800 rpm. Apart from the manual transmission variant, the SUV delivers the power and torque with an option of six-speed automatic transmission accompanied by All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system. In the looks department, the Captiva 2.2 sports sturdy exterior design, coupe-style rear window and premium jet-black interiors. The large tailgate and vertical LED tail lamps along with indicators and reversing lamps contained in circular elements have enhanced the look of the rear side of the Captiva that runs on 235/65 R 17 tyres.

General Motors has incorporated 5 + 2 Flexi Seating arrangement for providing comfort to seven passengers while sitting in Captiva 2.2. The fold-flat seating arrangement can also be transformed for providing extra space to the luggage. Chevrolet Captiva can carry up to 1,565 liters of cargo volume. For safety, the Captiva 2.2 comes with 6 airbags - driver and front passenger airbags, seat side and roof side airbags. For emergency braking situation, the SUV features four-channel ABS with brake assist-equipped discs. In addition to the list, bottle holders, seat-back pockets, parking ticket holder, small item/coin and cup holders, and dual-compartment sliding driver’s armrest are also provided along with three 12-volt power outlets.
