Buy TATA Nano Online - India's 'Most Affordable Car' Up For Sales Race

TATA is desperate to push up the sales, so much so that it's bringing into play its many smart ideas which the company believes shall extract results. Selling TATA Nano online is one such idea. India's smallest and most affordable car shall soon be just a mouse-click away if Tata Motors' claims are anything to go by. Purchasers may book the car, choose to pay the initial booking amount online and get the car delivered at their doorsteps (or at the nearest Tata showroom). For the final payment and the paperwork, you may have to deal with the dealership.

Priced Rs 1.64 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), Nano sales haven't yet reached the expected targets. As of now, the company trades approximately 2000 Nanos per month. Having attempted a few online trades, the company is now aiming to expand the scale of online car sales.
Ranjit Yadav, President (Passenger Vehicle), Tata Motors, believes that the trend of parents buying Nano for their children may actually benefit their cause. Recently, Tata Motors launched the 2013 Nano that boasted many super-cool upgrades. The top-end variant enjoyed remote keyless entry, four-speaker music system with Bluetooth, twin gloveboxes and Aux-in connectivity. By end-2013, two new Nano variants shall hit the Indian market.

I know one can laugh at this idea.
However, on a serious note, if TATA is targeting 2000 Nanos per month and if the online sales can add couple of hundred's in the total target that will not be bad at all. Though Only thing, I am concerned about is how friendly this online sale would be, as one would require a number of documents to purchase a car and its registration.

What's the use of ads if the car does not impress on first looks? Tata has also got a new van named as Tata Magic Iris 1. Looks like Tata just wanted everyone to be able to afford a vehicle but doesn't actually want people to buy them. Please makes the Nano and Magic more presentable Tata! You'd then become more famous as Tata itself internationally. Don't just count on Jaguar and Range Rovers to earn you big bucks. Make the world love the Nano with innovative designs - what have you got to loose by improvising on design?
