1. Both options are equally good for career. In fact, you'll have to find out whether you are good at databases or writing code to find out the best option for you.
2. It's impossible to explain all those technologies here. Have you tried searching on Google? You may learn more about big data through this ebook: #-Link-Snipped-#
3. Yes, it is possible to switch; but it'd be very difficult to switch domains. Typically with development background, you should be able to find it easier to switch to Big Data technologies; provided you've the right experience.
