Audi RS 7 India Launch Happens At The Price Of Rs. 1.28 Crore - Is It The #MostPowerfulAudi Ever?

Audi, the German automobile manufacturer has launched its premium sportback model in India with Audi RS 7 at a price of Rs. 1.28 Crore (INR 12,856,000) ex-showroom, Mumbai. The luxury sports car model has entered India with the back after the news about the company selling its first car to Bollywood actor Salman Khan went viral. The Audi RS 7 features a 4.0 TFSI bi-turbo V8 engine and runs from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The RS 7 is the company’s fourth sports car in India, the others are RS 5, R8 V10 and R8 10 Plus. Let us a take a look at the tech specs of the new Audi in India in detail.

The large five- door coupé has got a top speed of 305 km/h. The 3,993 cc engine delivers an output of highest 412 kW (560 hp), 700 Nm (516.29 lb-ft) of torque from 1,750 to 5,500 rpm. The Hybrid aluminium design on the exterior gives the body a light-weight appeal and sets new standards. It actually weighs roughly 15 per cent less than a comparable all-steel body. "After the overwhelming response to our Audi RS 5, which further boosted our leadership in the luxury sports car segment, we are confident the new Audi RS 7 Sportback with its aesthetic design and impressive sportiness would establish new benchmarks in the performance sports car segment," Audi India head Joe King said.

On the exterior, you'll find the distinctively styled bumpers, the partly tinted LED headlights, the high-gloss black honeycomb grill, the add-on parts in matt aluminum and the flared sills and the set sporty accents. On the Audi RS 7, you'll find an eight-speed tiptronic with a dynamic character – quattro permanent all-wheel drive with new center differential and torque vectoring, sport differential as an option. As far as the Chassis is concerned, the car gets Audi drive select vehicle dynamics system with dynamic steering as standard. There are 20-inch wheels standard with 21-inch wheels as an option and disc brakes in wave design with ceramic brakes as an option.

“We started the year with the achievement of becoming the first-ever luxury car manufacturer to sell 10,000 units in a year, and now we follow it up with the introduction Audi RS 7 Sportback in India,” said Joe King, Head, Audi India. Audi, which currently has 34 dealerships in India, will increase the number of outlets to 40 by this year, he added.
