ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom With Dual Rear Lens Setup Promises Better Photos Than iPhone 7 Plus

Apart from unveiling the Project Tango and Google Daydream enabled ZenFone AR smartphone, ASUS took the covers off its new photography-centric smartphone, the ZenFone 3 Zoom at the ongoing CES 2017 in Las Vegas. The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom aims to achieve new heights in smartphone photography. Like most photography focused premium smartphones in the market, the ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom has dual-lens optics. The rear 12-megapixel camera with f/1.7 aperture and the wide-angle lens is equipped with the company’s SuperPixel technology to increase the light sensitivity to up to 2.5 times more than the iPhone 7 Plus. The Zoom moniker of the ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom comes courtesy of its 2.3 optical zooms and 12x digital zoom. The new Portrait mode achieves ‘bokeh’ effect of DSLRs where the subject stands out of the softly blurred background.
