Asus VivoMini UN62 & UN42 PCs Arrive In India - Feature Extremely Compact Form Factor

ASUS India is back with a bang by announcing its suite of mini PCs that are ultra-compact and offered with a decent price tag. The two new PCs - ASUS VivoMini UN62 and ASUS VivoMini UN42 are launched in India at a price of Rs. 26,500 and Rs. 13,500 respectively. In a market that's abuzz with mini PCs popping up from most leading electronics manufacturers, the arrival of ASUS ultra-compact mini PCs only leaves the customers with more options. Let's take a look at the features that each of these VivoMini PCs and find out if they are worth the price they are being offered at.

Starting with what's underneath, we have a 4th Gen Intel Core processor (such as Core i3, Core i5 or Celeron), support for multi-display, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, extensive I/O connectivity and 4K/UHD output. At the dimension 131 x 131 x 42mm, the VivoMini UN62 features 100GB of free ASUS WebStorage space & 100GB of Microsoft OneDrive storage free for 2 years. Running on either Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 Professional (64bit), the Asus VivoMini UN62 features speak of Intel HD Graphics 4400 and memory 4 GB Up to 16 GB Dual Channel, DDR3L at 1600MHz, 2 x SO-DIMM and 32GB Up to 256GB mSATA SSD. If purchased without a hard-drive, OS or RAM, the price of the device is Rs. 26,500, whereas the UN42 costs Rs. 13,500 (plus 3 year warranty).

These set of new mini PCs are well suited for both office & home users. On the connectivity front, VivoMini PC specs suggest four USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI port, one 4-in-1 card reader and one LAN port. The interesting part is that the VivoMini PCs weigh just 1 kg making them extremely portable. Apart from these specs, some basic features such as Easy BIOS setting & update, system monitoring, remote power management & ability to customize DMI value.make routine maintenance & serving easy peasy.
