Asus unveils 5.5 inch Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) with massive 4100 mAh battery in India

Asus has made available its Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) variant in the country priced at INR 17,999. Offered in 3 variants of Sand Gold, Titanium Gray and Glacier Silver the device features a 5.5-inch full high-definition IPS display (1080 x 1920 pixels) with a 1.4 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM. There is a provision for 32 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card (up to 128 GB).

Running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and supported by a massive 4100 mAh battery, it sports a hybrid dual-SIM (Micro + Nano) feature. Zenfone 3 Max also houses a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel, with the organization’s ZenUI 3.0 skin on top. The USP of the smartphone, its battery, is slated to present up to 38 days of 4G standby time, and up to 17 hours of 3G talk time. On photography front it houses a 16-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash, apart from an 8-megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an 84-degree wide-angle lens.

Its TriTech auto-focus technology results in a clear focus in just 0.03 seconds in varying conditions, for all scenarios. For videos it has a three-axis electronic image stabilizer (EIS) to keep handheld videos rock-steady. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v4.1, Micro-USB, and FM radio with sensors as-accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) would be available via retail outlets as well as e-commerce websites.
