The grooms are categorized in the three most common trades- an engineer, a doctor and a pilot. These three are required to make a quick evasive movement while requesting a dowry of INR 1.5 million or more. For every hit the groom suffers, the user wins money for a virtual anti-dowry fund. The game is accessible as a free Facebook application, and #-Link-Snipped-#. Pulling in over  276,000 "likes" already, this game is all set to make a mark.

The statement released by Shaadi.com read:
Shaadi.com has always believed that marriage is an institution of love, where there is a place for togetherness, mutual understanding, family values and emotional support but not for dowry!

Dowry system had been termed illegal long long ago, but still the old traditions tend to get the better of us Indians. National Crime Records Bureau show that in 2010, over 8,391 deaths were registered and the cause was nothing but dowry. Hope this game plays at least a small part in removing this abuse towards society. And the grooms asking for it now onwards, well, the Angry Brides are all set to kick your ass!
