Alcatel One Touch Flash Is The Newest Selfie-Focused Android Smartphone In India

If you haven't really been able to catch up to the frenzy of companies launching smartphones with USP as the selfie camera, here's a latest smartphone from Alcatel Mobiles to help you come face to face with it. Launching today i.e. on November 21st exclusively via Flipkart is the new Alcatel One Touch Flash smartphone (also known as Flash Idol X+) that's supposed to capture the entire Android selfie-centric market in India. Yep. To promote their latest phone, the company is also launching a 'Selfie Contest' where top 20 contestants each day will win a Rs. 1000 discount. Well, that's not it. The winner will also get a make-over and photo shoot, that will appear in the country's one of the most popular lifestyle magazine. If those are the kind of things that don't generally lure you to buy a new smartphone, let's move on to the phone's crux - Its specifications and features.

The Alcatel One Touch Flash features a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 p resolution) display with IPS screen. On the phone's rear end sits a 13 megapixel camera, whereas on the front there's a 5 megapixel snapper. The cameras feature LED flash, HDR, image stabilisations, auto-focus, 4x digital zoom as well as full HD video recording on the rear. Powered by a 1.4 GHz Octa-Core processor, the One Touch Flash features a 3200 mAh battery (which is said to offer up to 19 hours of talk time and close to 465 hours of standby time), 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory that's expandable via microSD card up to 32 GB. Available in two color options - Crystal White and Gun Grey, the Alcatel One Touch smartphone runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.

The smartphone is 3G enabled and features Dual-SIM slots (type: micro). Among the various connectivity options offered, the Alcatel One Touch Flash specs list Bluetooth v4.0 (with EDR), Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), micro-USB v2.0 and A-GPS integrated with Google Maps. At 8.1 mm, the phone looks pretty slick and weighs about 150 g.
