  Is it necessary to go for masters if one wish to work in the company

  There are so many engineers who are in jobs without a master's degree. So, the answer is - you do not need a masters' degree to work for a company.
  
  There are few specialised jobs that require the potential candidate to have masters degree and the employers will clearly mention it in the job posting.

  It may; but there's no set rule. Totally depends on the job / company / role and ability of the candidate. There are several 'masters' degree holders working at lower pay and position and vice-versa.

  There are several ways. You should first go through all your engineering subject and read them just for fun. Appreciate the concepts and make sure you know all the essential stuff. Given your background in IT engineering; it'd be wise to make yourself familiar with programming and try to become an expert in any programming language of your choice.
  
  You may participate on online discussion forums like CrazyEngineers, ask your questions and answer questions asked by others so that you keep learning. A lot of engineers are already doing that very successfully here at CE.
