Acer Launches Liquid Jade and E700 To Mark Its Comeback With A Bang In India

The Taiwanese company, which was in a long hibernation, is now back in the Indian smartphone market. The company has launched two new mid-range smartphones, the Liquid E700 and the Liquid Jade priced at Rs. 11,999 and Rs. 16,999 respectively. These smartphones were announced in May earlier this year and will now be available exclusively on Snapdeal. The company claims that while Liquid Jade will appeal to the elegant and highly social user, the Liquid E700 is more suited to a business traveller.

Liquid E700

Starting with Liquid E700, it is a triple-SIM smartphone and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. It flaunts a 5-inch IPS HD display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. On the storage front, the device has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be extended up to 32GB using a microSD card. The phone sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash and 2-megapixel front camera with flash. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack. It packs a huge 3500 mAh battery which according to Acer is good for up to 24 hours of talk time and 60 hours of standby time. It weighs around 155 grams and is available in black and red colors.

The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 5-inch IPS ‘Zero Air Gap’ display with HD (720x1280 pixel) resolution and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. It has a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage (expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card). This comes in as a surprise as at the time of announcement, it featured 1GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. On the camera front, it flaunts a 13-megapixel rear camera with 0.3 second autofocus, an f/1.8 aperture, and 1080p HD video recording and a 2MP front camera. The connectivity features are quite similar with Liquid E700. The device houses a 2100 mAh battery and will be available in black, white, grey and jade green colors.
There is no news as to when these smartphones will be getting an Android L update.
