New iMacs With Retina Display Likely To Be Unveiled This Week

While everyone's waiting eagerly for the Apple iPhone 5, Clayton Morris of #-Link-Snipped-# says that he's heard from multiple sources that Apple is likely to unveil the new line of iMacs this week. It looks like the supply of 27" iMacs has been going down since last two weeks though the 21" iMacs seem to be available in abundance all over. The rumours of iMac desktop machines getting the much awaited Retina treatment have been floating around for quite some time now.

Even if the iMacs don't get Retina Display, we can at least expect them to feature Ivy-Bridge processors, faster and upgraded graphics chips, USB 3.0 and support for higher capacity solid state drives (SSD). Given Apple's dislike for the optical drives, we may finally see optical drives being completely removed from the iMacs as well.

We hope the prices of the iMacs will be within our bank account capacity. What do you think?
