Microsoft Acquiring Perspective Pixel Inc. Means Huge TouchScreens To Be Future WhiteBoards

Microsoft's Perspective Pixel Inc. (PPI) Acquisition was announced by both the companies. PPI, the company famous for its multi-touch interfaces will now thrive under Microsoft's roof. Jeff Han, the founder of PPI who pioneered the multi-touch technology, has made PPI sell 27-inch, 55-inch, and 82 inch multi-touch displays. With this acquisition, Microsoft is trying to rove its feet deeper into the hardware field following the launch of its Surface tablet. We might soon see Microsoft's Mega TouchScreens used in educational institutes and offices as whiteboards.

The PPI's multi-touch screens are 1920x1080 HD optically bonded LCD touch displays that use projected capacitive technology. And the unlimited touch points on the screen means that ten people can be working together on it at once. PPI also has developed a software called Storyboard, which it calls a “next-generation presentation tool that enables you to quickly and easily tell the story you want to tell, using all of the assets at your disposal.” Does that ring a bell? We have to wait and see where Microsoft takes it from here. Check a video below -
