Were there many of them? Since I joined CE only 2 years back, I have no idea what where their usernames.

Thats cool :) Good luck in your search then. Hows your cisco home network lab going?

Hey that's an awesome news! Congratulations to your sister :) Can you write to the conference organizers to send an invitation?

Hi... Aren't you able to access PraveenTech TechBits ??? Why is it so? Its not a blog! :o

Well Indeed. Our VoiCE posts have seen comments from Xerox product managers, Startup CEOs and all. We are getting noticed. The process is slow and we all should work on making it faster. I personally want to see all our CEans sitting in one big posh office working on awesome stuff. :)

The line of action to progress CE is 'little' different now. First become a place where engineers gather and then pick up the 'top ones'. That is, we need people to visit the site so that few of them keep the technical discussions alive. With numbers, we'll be able to work out enough revenues to turn CE into an engineering company. We've already been able to setup of team of VoiCE Authors who're now taking VoiCE to newer height with awesome engineering news. The progress is slow, but steady.

With our inclusion in Google News, we're now getting noticed quicker and I'm quite sure, we'll get many International visitors who'll want to contribute to CE. My plan is to be quickly noticed through VoiCE Internationally and then attract few of those visitors to CE Forums. I agree that CE has diluted and major focus these days is on chit-chat than other sections, however I'm thinking situation will improve as we attract more engineers.

Well, I have no different views than you. As I said, CE was meant to be a place for engineers where they solve each others problems, contribute ideas and I wanted it to be a place where engineers collaborate remotely to work on innovative projects. This was based on assumption that all technically oriented engineers would flock the forums and flood it with engineering stuff. However, reality is different. My focus was to maintain a balance of people from different countries so that we don't stick to one geography. However, India sent (& sends) us most of the members who were mostly interested in non-technical discussions, ideas. It was hurting when experts informed me that they found the quality of discussions on CE was very low. You are aware that the most innovative, technical discussions on CE have very few responses.

Durga: You and I have the same concern. However, do you see the difference in audience those technical forums enjoy and what we have? Even today, the most traffic is to our project ideas section where people come looking for ready made projects. All I can do the best is to provide a platform and motivate people to participate in technical discussions. But if people are interested in chit-chat sections, we can't deny them.

The fact is, I can't determine what people want to talk about. All I'm focusing on is that people should come to CE for whatever reason - but should be available to contribute and answer technical queries, ideas etc. If you think there's a way we can make people participate more in technical discussions (which is what CE is meant for), I'm interested in hearing them. Let me know what you think.

Durga - nothing wrong in discussing stuff in Chit-chat section. :|

I felt that I should not switch from technical to management so soon, thats why I'm planning for ms. I can do MBA later also. From where did you graduated?
