Meet The Linux Powered 2013 Cadillac XTS
Cadillac’s latest model, the 2013 XTS sedan is all set to go on sale from June, marking the company’s first new launch in three years. This latest product from General Motors highlights CUE (Cadillac User Experience), a Linux powered radio and navigation interface designed for infotainment purposes of Cadillac owners. Early reviews suggest the touch inputs to lag slightly, though the voice input feature appears to be top notch, well in contention with the performance standards of BMW’s iDrive and Ford’s Sync.

The three core ARM 11 processor powers one 8 inch capacitive touch screen and a 12.3 inch configurable instrument cluster behind the steering comprising of only capacitive touch input options and a suave display screen. CUE is smart enough recognize addresses in one go and execute commendable local searches for navigation and radio streaming services. To help consumers navigate the new system better, Cadillac will provide a free iPad with every 2013 model, which is expected to cost anything between $45,000 to $60,000
