Samsung Galaxy S2 To Get Android ICS On March 15

Samsung Israel has a great news for all the Android lovers. The much awaited Android 4.0 firmware upgrade will arrive on your Galaxy S2 on March 15, says Samsung Israel on their Facebook page. There have been several rumors about the March launch of the ICS for S2 and Samsung too had confirmed that they'll offer the upgrade in the beginning of 2012. Looks like March 15 is the day! According to the post, the upgrade will be available for unlocked and carrier free S2 handsets.

Whether the upgrade will be made available only to the phones sold in Israel or pan world is not clear yet. However we have a strong reason to believe that the upgrade will be rolled out within all over the world by March 30. However carrier-bound S2 will have to wait as hardware is different for different carriers. We'll of course keep you posted on the development. Samsung Galaxy Note owners might have to wait a little longer. But be assured that ICS will arrive on your Note too.
