Israeli Sports Website ONE Hacked By Saudi Group; Credit Card Information Leaked
The news about Israel's famous sports website called ONE being hacked spread hither and thither when a member of the Saudi Hacking Group claimed that they have leaked Credit Card Numbers and the personal information like addresses, names and phone numbers attached with the cards of more than 400,000 users online. The group, quite smirkingly, asked netizens to use the leaked details to buy stuff online. They wrote, "It will be so fun to see 400,000 Israelis stand in line outside banks and offices of credit card companies to complain that their cards had been stolen. To see banks shred 400,000 cards and reissue them. To see that Israeli cards are not accepted around the world, like the Nigerian cards." The Hackers redirected users visiting One.co.il to a page on pastebay.com where a link to download the database was provided.

In response to the cyber attack, Dov Kotler, CEO of Isracard, a unit of Bank Hapoalim said that the credit-card user details that appeared on the page were mostly incorrect or belonged to the cards that were deactivated long ago. The leaked data also contains numerous repeated entries. The credit card companies immediately blocked all the cards on the list and assured the customers that money used to buy from these cards will be duly returned.
It has been reported by Saudi hackers leak personal information of thousands of Israelis that among the users whose data was leaked, there were many important personalities like Israeli celebrities, including athletes and cultural figures. The leaked file was later removed and it is now announced that the attack on the Israeli credit card numbers is under investigation.
Since the reports of major attacks worldwide do not seem to cease, users have started questioning the major companies who fail to secure their information. Israel might need to take firm steps sooner or later #-Link-Snipped-#.
