Do we need a search engine on front page?

I'd like to have your feedback on the following -

"Do we need a search engine on our front page?" For the newly joined CEans, we had a search engine on our front page : Check out the screenshot -

I've removed it for now. Let me know if we really need it.

i dont think that we need a search engine like the one in the screen shot . the present one is itself good and compact

Biggie, I think the sites looks fine without the search engine. I think we will need a search engine for the archive section of CE. You may include the search engine there.

The search engine will be needed only when there will be lots of stuff on the front page. For now, its fine and cool.

we don't need search engine on front page its gud and it contains so many things, so we don't need it !!!!!!
