Open your eyes, look in front, look at the back, look at any angle and you will see something that is an engineer's creation.

Engineers have been making things possible that others could only imagine. It perfectly makes sense to have a common place for engineers from around the world where they can share ideas, innovate, & help each other. Engineers are eternal, with the younger at 62 & the youngest at 17, the CEan gang consists of working professionals, students, entrepreneurs, CEOs, professors, geeks & nerds.

Talking to be honest ...

a bit emotional for CEans from India

Well, I think the answer to this quesion is : Wherever it is available! India is still a developing country and we have a long way to go to catch with the developed countries.

Therefore, its just a matter of availability. If advance concepts of nanotechnology are not yet available in India, you got no choice but to go to abroad to study them.

Talk about MBA. We have world class IIMs. But they do not come in top 20 MBA colleges across the world. The method of selecting & teaching candidates for MBA course is totally different in India & abroad. What suits to an Indian company may not be taught in Harward. I hope I'm making myself clear.

Well, I'm already thinking about topic "Do we need higher education?"

welcome back neha. we have a number of Indians in our organization who did their post graduation here in US. I agree with big k about his point on availability of technology & education.

US is liberal in welcoming students from all over the world to its institutes. From my personal observation, the aim of foreign students coming to US for studies is to get a job with companies here. It shouldn't matter where you do your higher studies.

I have slightly different views...
Lemm'e explain them...

If we will talk about the Techi stuff....i guess... except MIT no other institue is there in the world who will compare the IIt's ...atleast in academic standerd.
than one will say why people use to go abroad for studies....???
the reason is Job and money....if one spent 1 dollar and will get 1000 in response why wont he go abroad... but if one dont want money aspects....and eager to study here in India only than no doubt IITS are the among the best institutes..
You can see some of Big shots from IIt's

If we will talk about MBA....no doubt that other universities of world are good....but that is because they teach you more practical knowledge....and in IIMS relatively less practical work is there...Abroad chances of Big Big ...jobs with higher salaries are there ...here in IIMS....Salary is good...but as India is a devloping country its good is still relatively lesser than the USA's normal...

hmm....one is going for commerce...say econiomics...than must say that there are not many good name in India....

Now in nutshell....Chances in India are not so bad.....if one want to gain knowledge....but chances in India...of money making is no where compare to abroad..so decision is in your hand....which way to go....
I personally prefers....Knowledge...that is .....INDIA......
