prerequisites for installing .net ??

hey CE,

am back withe my troubles but they dont bother me much because i know that CEans are always there to help.

most of you must have had used .net. i have just started with it as my summer training programme. now the installation of .net isnt that easy as other microsoft products. various prerequisits have to be checked for before installing it with which am obviously facing a lot of trouble.

well right now i only intend to know whether 128mb RAM is sufficient for installing .net?

128mb is not enough run Visual Studio .net. Following are minimum memory requirements for Visual Studio .Net for various operating systems.

Windows 2000 Professional — 96 MB; Windows 2000 Server — 192 MB; Windows XP Home — 96 MB; Windows XP Professional & Windows Server 2003 — 192 MB Recommended: 128 MB for 2000 Professional, 256 MB for 2000 Server, 160 MB for XP Home, 256 MB for XP Professional & Windows Server 2003

thanks but i somehow managed to install .net in my 128mb RAM. though the software doesnt work that well but am satisfied that it works atleast.

Time to upgrade your system . RAM sticks are cheap, get min 512 or more if possible (and supported by your system).

Prices of RAM have fallen to an all time low value of 1200rps for 512MB DDR2[these prices are in delhi]
