Question freezing a drive

hi friends........
Im hostler n my room mate recently formated her pc . the vendor freezed her c drive. now whenever i download anything n save it in desktop. it's removed as soon as i restart..
actually what happens if u freeze ur drive? now how can i defreeze it by myself(want to re install .net)?
plz help me.......

The best thing i can tell you is disconnect that drive then connect it to other pc then format it and then connect it back to the same pc and reinstall the os,,hope this can solve your problem

I think some startup script is running on your pc which delete all the file on the particular drive..

Check if the hdd has read-write permission. Check the jumper settings.
