Default The worlds six most famour cars and its specifications

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is currently the fastest, most powerful, and most expensive street-legal full production car in the world, with 1001 horsepower, though several faster or more expensive vehicles have been produced on a limited basis. This mean machine has four Turbo Charged Engines producing an awesome 1001 horse power and can reach the speed of 407kmph(253mph)!
After the release of the car, it has been reported that while each Veyron is being sold for $1,200,000, the production costs of the car are approximately £5 million per vehicle. This is not the price to produce one vehicle, but rather the cost of the entire Veyron project divided by the number of vehicles produced at that time.
Specifications
The Veyron features a W16 engine—16 cylinders in 4 banks of 4 cylinders, or the equivalent of two narrow-angle V8 enginesmated in a "W" configuration. Each cylinder has 4 valves, for a total of 64, but the narrow V8 configuration allows two camshafts to drive two banks of cylinders so only 4 camshafts are needed. The engine is fed by four turbochargers, and it displaces 8.0 L (7,993 cc/488 in³) with a square 86 by 86 mm bore and stroke.

Putting this power to the ground is a dual-clutch DSG computer-controlled manual transmission with 7 gear ratios via shifter paddles behind the steering wheel boasting an 8 ms shift time. The Veyron can be driven by full automatic transmission. The Veyron also features full-time all-wheel drive based on the Haldex system. It uses special Michelin run-flat tires designed specifically for the Veyron to accommodate the vehicle's top speed.

Curb weight is estimated at 1890 kg (4,160lb). This gives the car a power to weight ratio of 529 bhp/tonne.

The car's wheelbase is 2710 mm (106.3 in). Overall length is 4462 mm (175.8 in). It measures 1998 mm (78.7 in) wide and 1206 mm (47.5 in) tall.

And not only this, this car has total of 10 radiators!

The Rolls-Royce Phantom is an ultra-luxury saloon automobile made by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, a BMW subsidiary, in the
United Kingdom. It was launched in 2003 and is the first Rolls-Royce branded car made under the ownership of BMW.
  • BMW have set a lifetime limit that only 10,000 units of the Phantom will be built.
  • The base price is £250,000 in the UK and $300,000 in the US.
  • As of October 2004, only 555 Phantoms were sold, down from a target of 1,000 units per year. Many say this is due to the slow set-up of the dealer network.By the end of the year, the company expected to have sold between 750 and 800. However, at that stage, Rolls-Royce was selling twice as many cars as its closest rival Maybach.
  • The 2000th car rolled out of the Goodwood factory in December 2005. [2]
  • In July 2006, Rolls Royce produced a limited edition run of 25 cars called the "Phantom Black" [1]
  • The 3000th car rolled out of the Goodwood factory in March 2007.
  • Rolls Royce produced a limited edition run of 25 cars to commemorate the centenary of the Silver Ghost.
Specifications
It has a 6.75 L, 48-valve, V12 engine that produces 453 hp (338 kW)
and 531 ft·lbf (720 N·m) of torque. The engine is derived from BMW' existing V12 powerplant.

It is 1.63 m (63 in) tall, 1.99 m (74.8 in) wide, 5.83 m (228 in) long, and weighs 2485 kg (5478 lb). The body of the car is built on an aluminium space frame and the Phantom can accelerate to 100 km/h (60 mph) in 5.7 s. It has a six-speed automatic transmission and double wishbone
suspension

Porsche........One of the most famous car manufacturers in the whole world. Its cars are cheaper, better and also the fastest cars when compared to others. The Porsche 997 Turbo is one of most powerful car ever built. But to us bad luck Porsche's are very rare in India and I heard that Porsche 911 Carrera S costs about 88 Lakhs.

Specifications
The Turbo version of the 997 series featured the same 3.6 L twin-turbocharged engine as the 996 Turbo, but this time it developed 480 PS (353 kW) and 620 N·m (457 ft·lbf) of torque. This was in part due to the 997's new variable-geometry turbocharger, which essentially combines the low-rev boost and quick responses of a small turbocharger with the high-rev power of a larger turbocharger. As well as producing more power and flexibility, the new turbocharger improved fuel consumption over the 996 Turbo. With these performance upgrades, it accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds (3.7 with the Tiptronic transmission) and reaches a top speed of 310 km/h (193 mph). However, these are official figures and Porsche is notable for being conservative about their power and performance ratings. Motor Trend Magazine has clocked the 997 Turbo's 0–60 mph time in 3.2 seconds with the Tiptronic S transmission. The optional Sports Chrono overboost package increases torque to 680 N·m (502 ft·lbf) for short periods (maximum 10 seconds) but over a narrower rev range.

The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is a German supercar jointly developed by Mercedes-Benz and McLaren Automotive. It is assembled at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, England. DaimlerChrysler owns 40% of the McLaren Group. It is the fastest automatic transmission car in the world. SLR stands for "Sport, Leicht, Rennsport" (sport, light, racing). Mercedes-Benz has stated that they will build 3500 SLRs in a span of 7 years, with an annual production of only 500 cars. The car's base price is £300,000 or $ 615,291. (25/07/07 exchange).

Specifications
The SLR McLaren sports a 232-kilogram (511.8 lb), hand-built, 5.4-litre (5439 cc/331.9 cu in), supercharged, all-aluminum, SOHC V8 engine. The cylinders are angled at 90 degrees with three valves per cylinder and lubricated via a dry sump system. The compression ratio is 8.8:1 and the bore and stroke is 97 milimetre (3.82 in) and 92 milimetre (3.62 in), respectively. The Lysholm-type twin-screw supercharger produces 0.9 bar (13 psi) of boost, the turbine rotates at 23000 revolutions per minute, and the air is cooled via two intercoolers. The engine generates a maximum power of 626 PS (617 hp/460 kW) at 6500 revolutions per minute and a maximum torque of 780 newton-metre (575 lb·ft) at 3250 revolutions per minute.

This car was loosely built with the same idea in mind as when Ferrari made its F50 GT.

Essentially an evolution of the Enzo, the FXX shares some components with its parent car, but significant portions are exclusive to the FXX.Ferrari has built 30 (original number 29) of these cars, and they have all been sold to preselected past Ferrari customers (except for one that Ferrari S.p.A. kept), including Ferrari's F1 World Champion driver, Michael Schumacher, the 30th. Schumacher's FXX differs from others in that it is the only black FXX without a stripe and comes with red trim on the wheels, matte exhaust tips (regular FXX's have chrome tips),it has also holds the famous MS signature on the side in red, number 30 on the doors and his personal insignia on the seats. The FXX was reported to cost 1.5 million euro (excluding taxes for the car and the services that Ferrari provides with it.

Specifications
The FXX's engine is based on the Enzo's but has been expanded to 6,262 cc (from 5,988 cc), and output has been boosted from 660 PS (651 hp/485.4 kW), as seen in the Enzo, to 800 PS (789.1 hp/588.4 kW) @ 8,500 rpm.
  • Engine: Longitudinal, Mid-mounted, 75, naturally-aspirated aluminum V12
  • Valvetrain: DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder with continuously variable timing
  • Fuel system: Bosch Motronic ME7 Sequential Electronic Injection
  • Specific Output: 127.75 PS (126 hp/94 kW) per litre
  • Drive system: RWD w/TCS
  • Construction: Carbon fiber body over carbon fiber tub with rear alloy subframe
  • Front brakes: Brembo CCM (carbon-ceramic) discs w/6-pot calipers, power assist ABS
  • Rear brakes: Brembo CCM (carbon-ceramic) discs w/4-pot calipers, power assist ABS
  • Front wheels: 483 mm (19 in) x 229 mm (9 in)
  • Rear wheels: 483 mm (19 in) x 330 mm (13 in)
  • Steering: Rack and pinion with power assist
  • Suspension: Double wishbones with push-rod actuated coil-shock units, adaptive dampers, electronic shock absorbers, anti-roll bar
  • Wheelbase: 2650 mm (104 in)
  • Front track: 1660 mm (65 in)
  • Rear track: 1650 mm (65 in)
