Dirt Cheap Web Tablet with TechCrunch
Michael Arrington & team came up with a great product idea, a cheap tablet PC for under $200 that will allow you to surf the web using FireFox & interact with your friends using Skype (all on Linux platform).
Check it here: http:We Want A Dead Simple Web Tablet For $200. Help Us Build It.
What do you guys say?

Re: Dirt Cheap Web Tablet with TechCrunch
Interesting.. yes, I'd certainly be interested in this. Ever since ASUS came out with the EeePC, there has been a movement towards smaller and cheaper mobile platforms. Even Acer has joined the race with their Aspire One. Currently, a potential cheap tablet (with keyboard) would be the one from Gigabyte: Mobile Computer - Gigabyte's tablet UMPC on pre-order for under £400
I'd sure love to see more detailed hardware specs though. Software is easy to pull off.. hardware isnt!
Keep it simple. Keep it real.
