About CE Colloquium:

We had been brainstorming on conducting an online paper presentation contest on CE for long. After numerous responses, ideas & feedback from our awesome members, The CE Colloquium is now live! We look forward to great participation from all of you. Of course, we've lined up cool prizes for the winners!

Contest Outline:

1. The contestants are required to create & submit a slideshow/PDF on any topic related to engineers/engineering [See topic selection & submission guidelines below]
2. The CE team will pick up top [X] (depending upon number of entries) slideshows/PDF and make them available on CE for public viewing, comments, questions & feedback.
3. CEans will then ask questions to the finalists about their topic, based on the content of the presentation.
4. Top three presentations/papers will be chosen as winners. The winners will receive cool prizes! [See below]

Topic selection criteria:

1. Pick up any topic relevant to engineers, engineering, technology etc.
2. We do not want you to be limited to a set of topics. Pick up anything you think can be a presented to our global engineering community.
3. If you have doubts whether your topic is a good fit for the contest, write to contest[at]crazyengineers[dot]com. We'll be happy to guide you. Don't write to ask for topics.

Submission guidelines:

Send your presentation to contest[at]crazyengineers[dot]com. Include following information in the body of mail -

*Your name:
*CrazyEngineers ID:
*Postal address with PIN:
*Contact phone number:

You may include an article of up to 500 words to supplement your presentation.

Schedule:

1 October 2009: Competition announced.
20 October 2009: Deadline for submissions.
21 - 31 October 2009: Qualified entries will be made available on CE for public viewing, questioning & comments.
1-5 November 2009: CE Team will pick up the best entries and announce them as winners.

Judging:

1. All decisions taken by CE Team [admin/mods] will be final, in case of any disputes.
2. The winners will be chosen on the basis of following criteria:

* Topic selection
* Content
* Clarity of thoughts & knowledge of the subject
* Promptness & depth of responses to questions asked by members on the forums
* Presentation skills [if a slideshow is submitted]
