I just came across this link
National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning(NPTel) Home where they are claiming that they will distribute the course material from the IIT and IISc in order to improve the quality of the students. I'm not sure how true it is as its been long back when I was an engineering student. But if this is really useful then I would want CEans to take advantage of it.
