EL Sajjadah: An Illuminating Power Mat That Lights Up Facing The Mecca!

EL Sajjadah, a product that shall welcome a great response in the Muslim Community all over the world, is a unique product that lights up whenever it's facing the Mecca. Not only does it show the correct direction in which the prayer has to be offered, but also its light-weightedness ensures that carrying it around is not a tedious affair. People can also hang this mat on their wall as an art piece.

The mat's concept is a logical blend of the modern day technology and traditional Islamic Culture. When the mat is arranged facing the Mecca, the luminescent fibers light up. There are two modes through which this mat can derive its power- by rechargeable batteries or by a plugged power supply. The colored patters produce many elements like a mosque, the light of Allah and markings on the mat for the person to rest his hands and feet. Teal is considered to be one among many of Islam's holy colours, and black beautifully contrasts it representing the Holy Kaaba in Mecca.

SOPDS — Home has recently begun its #-Link-Snipped-# fundraising campaign and it requires pledges upto $100,000 by August 14 if this project is to proceed. With the beauty of Islamic Art and its classic history trailing along, this could very well be the bridge of cultural understanding, while the Muslim community continues to practice its faith.
